Student mental health is a critical issue that profoundly impacts academic success, overall well being, and future potential. The pressures faced by students today, from academic demands to social expectations, can lead to a variety of mental health challenges, including stress, anxiety, and depression. Recognizing the importance of addressing these issues is the first step toward creating supportive environments that foster students well being.
I, Alexis Miller,10th grader, went around Weir High to ask other student’s questions about student mental health. Firstly, I interviewed Bekah Derby, 10th grader, she said, “I think mental health is very important and I want everyone to know that they always have someone they could talk to.”
Next I interviewed Lilliana Trupiano, 10th grader, and she said, “this school year I improved my mental health by breathing, walking away from situations, getting good sleep, and staying healthy.”
I also interviewed Lexi Shuble, 11th grader, and she says, “this year I lost motivation to do my school work or even get out of bed. Student mental health is very important and you have to stay very strong.”
Student mental health is very important. Students are the future of this world. It is common for students to get into a bad state of mind and stop caring about school, school is here to help someone to get a bright future. It is very important we take notice in caring for students, especially during this season.
