Spring break is the time to unwind and relax. Whether you travel or stay close to home, enjoying this time off is what matters most. Here are a few ideas to help you plan your break and seize the moment.
Catch up with family and friends
Spring break is a perfect opportunity to meet up with the people you love most. Going out to eat or hosting a small gathering is an effortless way to bring people together and create memories. Being surrounded by family and friends will offer you support and happiness. Some more simple things to do together are go to the movies, shopping, or host game night.
Traveling
If you are looking for something to take up a full day or more, planning a getaway is the best choice. Stay at a warm and sunny place for the week or weekend or spend a day taking a road trip. A student from Weir, Arianna Pulliam, said she was going back to her hometown to see family. Senior, Brayden Racicot, stated he was heading to Washington D.C.
Reset
Remember to prioritize sleep and take time to care for your physical and mental health. Having three months of school with no break, you’ve most likely been undergoing a lot of stress. Fix this by listing all the assignments or tasks you need to complete or are missing to be prepared when you return to school. Exercising, cleaning, and journaling are more great ways to reset your mind and body.
Try something new
Attempt a skill or hobby that you have never tried before. Many times, stepping out of your comfort zone allows you to discover hidden talents and meet new people all while creating memories. This could be photography, painting, pickleball, and more.
Spend time outdoors
With the weather finally getting warmer, spend break outside. A simple walk can boost your mood and energy levels. If you are an active person, try going on a bike ride or hiking. During this time, outdoor tennis and basketball courts are always open as well as the track and football field. A more laid-back choice is having a picnic at the nearest park.
