With skits, interviews, photo slideshows, and more, the Class of 2024 Senior Video is a collaborative project created by senior staff members of Weir Student Media, a student-led journalism program. As with all WSM content, this video was created by students who are acquiring new journalism skills. There may be mistakes, but those are part of the learning and growth process.

Olivia Baker, Manager
Hi my name is Olivia Baker! I am the General Manager for Weir Student Media. I am a senior at Weir High School. I am a part of GAA, FBLA, NHS, NTHS, Pep Club, and Key Club. As far as sports go, I am a 4-year letterman and 2-year Captain of the Girls Varsity Soccer and Girls Varsity Basketball Team, a 2 Year Letterman for the Varsity Softball team, a 2-Year letter of the Girls Track Team, and a new member of the Dance Team. I enjoy being a journalist because I like having a free way to express myself and my thoughts!

Emily Gump, Photo/Video Manager
Hello, my name is Emily Gump! I am the photo/video manager for Weir Student Media. I am a senior here at Weir High School and I am a four year letterman cheerleader and I am the class of 2024 secretary, student body secretary, and a member in our schools Girls Athletic Association, Pep Club, and a Weir High Ambassador. I am interested in hair, makeup, fashion, and would love to do something similar to those topics as a future professional. My favorite singers include Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Drake. I am looking forward to the rest of my senior year!
My name is Mea Kaufman. I am a junior at Weir High School. This is my first year being apart of Weir Student Media. I am currently apart of the volleyball , basketball, and track team. I am also a current member of Key Club, Pep Club, GAA, and NHS.

Lillie Caranda, Web Manager
Hi I’m Lillie Caranda! I’m a senior at Weir High School and I’m Weir Student Media’s web manager. I play volley for my school team and a travel team. I’m a member of Pep Club and President of Girl’s Athletic Association. I’m also a waitress at an Italian restaurant. My favorite music artist is Lana Del Rey. My favorite subject in school is science. I love creating content for WSM, because it gives me the opportunity to have a voice as a student at Weir High School.
Logan Wagner, Staff
Hi, I’m Logan Wagner, and I am a senior at Weir High School. This is my first year as a staff member at Weir Student Media. In addition to my work at WSM, I am a member of the Weir High Drama Club, having been inducted into the International Thespian Society in 2023, and I was a member of the school’s academic games team in my junior year. Outside of school, I enjoy camping, hanging out with my friends and family, listening to music, collecting Pokémon cards, and playing video games. After graduation, I plan to attend college and study to be a software engineer or IT. Someday, I would like to be on Jeopardy.

I am a senior and a staff member for Weir Student Media, this is my second year in journalism; first year in videography .
My plan after high school is to attend West Liberty and major in entrepreneurship to create a business that brings the homeless and the helpless back on their feet.
The sports in take part in are basketball and track/field. I also take part in GAA (Girls Athletic Association) and pep club.
I am the youngest out of six; my family and I used to move a lot when my dad was in the military; I also have six animals at home. My favorite genre is action, drama; last thing I watched was Grimm and I’m currently watching 9-1-1 and 9-1-1 lone star.

Hey! My name is Gianna Truax. I am apart of Weir Student Media staff. I am apart of the Nursing program and have received my C.N.A. and PCT along with my CPR and First aid certificates. I am a current member in the Girls Athletic Association. In my extra time I like to play tennis, sing, and read.
Hi, my name is Karlie Bailey and I am a Junior that attends Weir High School. I am in the journalism class, as a staff member, I’m also a member of academic games, GAA, NTHS, and pep club. I’ve made many improvements in academic games, as I have been a member since 5th grade and have gone to nationals many times. Last year in nationals my team and I placed 3rd nationally in current events which I was very happy about. I’ve received a $1,000 scholarship with Jon H Poteet last year for NTHS, and have many certifications because of the CTE class I completed over the past two years. I’ve always had a huge internet in drawing, but never thought of publication or anything with graphic design. I really want to go to college at John Hopkins, MD, to become a pediatric doctor.
My name is Christian my roll on staff is anything you would want me to do. I play soccer, baseball, and basketball. I'm more interested in video i think video is very fascinating.
