Best Pizza In Weirton

You could say that Weirton loves pizza. But what pizza place has the best pizza? After gathering all the pizza places in

Newspaper class taste tests the three pizzas.

Weirton, Weir High took a student poll voting their favorite.

With Weir having about six hundred students eighty-six answered. The top choice was DiCarlo’s with thirty-one votes. Second choice was Vocelli’s with ten votes. Third was PeppeBroni’s with nine votes. The least voted choice was Little Caeser’s with one vote.

The newspaper staff then did a taste testing of the top three based off the poll. They were asked to rate each pizza on a scale from 1-5 and explain what their favorite was and why. Out of nine staff members the best was concluded to be Vocelli’s. Six out of nine voted for Vocelli’s and the average rating was 4.5.

When rating the Vocelli’s pizza, Summer Ellis, junior stated, “I give it a five. The sauce was smooth. The crust was nice, and it was thick.” Rylie Baker, junior said, “It was thick, not too saucy and seasoned very well. You can tell love was put into that pizza. It’s such a good pizza and it’s pretty close. All around it’s perfect.”

Clearly, Vocelli’s took the win in the newspaper class, but is DiCarlo’s still Weir High’s favorite?
