The girls volleyball varsity team has a record of 6-13 so far this season. “Our record does not show the talent that this team holds. We are a young varsity team with little varsity experience,” stated head coach Francesca Capaldi.  

The seniors on this team are Mallory Rosnick , number 22, Ziona Barnes, number 25, and Baylei Mills, number 14.  

 “As a coaching staff our goal is to better this program and to gain respect for the program. Some of our goals are to win the city championship and to have a successful post-season in tournament play,” said coach Francesca Capaldi. 

 On October 2, the girls had a sectional seating quad tournament at East Fairmont. They won three out of the four games and only lost to Oak Glen. This ended up with them placing second and Oak Glen in first. 

 “I would like to recognize my freshman. They come to practice with confidence and they are not scared to work harder than someone else,” said head coach Francesca Capaldi. 

The girls are preparing for the city championship game against Madonna High School and the game is October 26 at Weir.
