
What is Mean Girls? Mean Girls is a 2004 American teen comedy film directed by Mark Waters and written by Tina Fey. Mean Girls gives a very important message. They talk about cliques, bullying, drama, kindness, and the aspects of high school. Since it has a very good message and is many students’ favorite movie. Many found this movie very popular. So, Weir High decided to produce it for a spring musical!
I interviewed Emily Hores, one of the directors about the play. I asked her why she picked Mean Girls. Hores said, “based off of the student body and the talent that we had, we knew we would be able to cast it well. Also, because it is a fun musical with a really good message about kindness.”

Weir High presented Mean Girls Musical on May 2-4. They started practicing in January all the way up until the performance. Some may say they ran into some challenges like costume changes, learning lines, and dancing on tables. But with everyone’s hard work and dedication, they managed to host a successful play!
Some of the main characters were Sarah Stewart as Regina George, Lilliana Slopinski as Gretchen Wieners, Leanna Bissett as Karen Smith, Caden Runkel as Damian, Teaghan Garcia as Janis Sarkisian, and Lana Sauer as Cady Heron. They all did an amazing job at playing their parts. They all said they made good memories.

Many people said they loved watching the play. I interviewed some of the audience and they all said they had done an amazing job. Everyone is so excited and can’t wait for the next play!
