Weirton, West Virginia’s Dunkin originally opened April 21st, 2015, and recently closed on January 5th, 2025, to remodel. They held their grand reopening on February 5th, 2025.
While on February 4th, 2025, a Valentines Day menu was released, which contained a lava cake signature latte iced or hot, raspberry lava cake iced coffee, lava cake iced or hot coffee, brown sugar iced coffee, white hazelnut bark iced coffee, the return of the raspberry watermelon refresher with either green tea or lemonade, brownie batter specialty donut, cupid choice specialty donut, valentine’s sprinkles munchkins donut holes treats, shortcake cookie. They added new items to their menu, a brown sugar shakin’ espresso a collaboration with singer, Sabrina Carpenter, shakin’ espresso, and brown sugar oat iced or hot matcha latte.
Tavianna Cooley went the day they reopened and the morning after, but she explained, “They were super busy on Wednesday and still busy Thursday morning when I went. I love Dunkin, so I went to Steubenville and Wintersville when they were closed in Weirton. I tried the brownie batter donut and the raspberry watermelon refresher; they were so good. I’m very happy they are reopened.’
The manager and employees believed it was needed. An employee said that the remodeling was not supposed to happen until next year and all Dunkin’s get a remodel after a few years.
The manager had said, “I’m really excited about it, I’ve been with this Dunkin’ for 6 years, that’s why I was very excited about the new equipment and cap system. It was time for improvement to be made.”
When asked about how the new building will help the community she said, “I think it’s going to draw a lot more people and give us a little more business because of the new products we have coming out. And it’s always nice to have a nicer store.”
With the remodeling came with a new layout inside with new displace cases. Instead of the long straight counter, but now it’s an L shape counter and the displace cases are a part of the counter. The layout seems to be more organized and easier to keep under control when they are busy. They have new and better speakers. Thay also have signs inside and outside near the drive through that says, “Weirton runs on Dunkin,’ that goes with their slogan “America runs on Dunkin.”
Theres a rumored spring menu that’s supposedly to drop on March 5th and April 2nd. The first drop will be a dunkalatte iced or hot, pistachio hot or iced coffee, ham & cheese pretzels sliders, and the second will contain a cotton candy specialty donut, blueberry sprinkled munchkins, and spring munchkins buckets.
