Dear local businesses, family, friends, and community members,
Weir Student Media is seeking support from stakeholders like you! We hope you’ll join us in promoting scholastic journalism and student voices at Weir High School and beyond.
WSM is a student-produced, self-sustaining, non-profit scholastic journalism-media program tasked with covering Weir’s events, issues, and people to chronicle its proud history each year through daily video announcements, bi-monthly morning shows, monthly newsmagazines, a news website, an annual senior video, the yearbook, and social media accounts.
Currently, we are striving to improve our technology and facilities to enable us to create higher-quality, award-worthy publications and productions as well as to provide learning opportunities for students, such as professional speakers and journalism workshops. Your contribution would help us purchase new equipment and instructional resources, build newsroom and studio areas, provide scholarships for outgoing seniors, fund educational trips, and more.
There are two ways you can help our program: by advertising your business or services in our publications and/or productions or by becoming a Weir Student Media sponsor. All advertising and sponsorship donations are tax deductible. All funds raised will be invested directly into the Weir Student Media program and its students.
Our publications reach Weir High School’s student body of approximately 600 students, its more than 50 faculty and staff members, their families, and website, which means your business advertisements and sponsorships will reach them, too!
The WSM program would not be possible without the backing and generosity of local businesses, family, friends and community members, and we greatly appreciate your past and future support!
If interested in advertising with or sponsoring the WSM program, please see the forms linked below for options and rates.
For any questions or concerns about this letter, the forms, or any other aspect of our program, please contact adviser: Morgan Bricker, [email protected], (304) 748-7600 ext. 2404.
Any investment, no matter the amount, would be sincerely appreciated and will improve the Weir Student Media program!
