Lindsey Fayak

Lindsey had some positive and negatives experiences she had to face. One negative experience that stood out to her the most was not lettering her freshman year. Lindsey said,” I was disappointed not lettering my freshman year, but I overcame this by practicing constantly and working harder.” While Covid played an impact in trying to reach these goals that did not stop her from reaching her goals. The next 3 years she lettered in Soccer and reached her goal.
Fayak is an active member in many clubs at Weir High. She has been on the varsity soccer team for the past years. Lindsey has been a part of Pep Club for three years here. She has also been a member of Key Club and GAA for the last two years. She was inducted into NHS her junior year with her other classmates.
The girls’ soccer team had a great season by winning twelve games, five losses, and two ties. A memorable moment for Lindey was, “our girls’ soccer team making it to OVAC, almost making it to regionals, and finally scoring 2 goals against the Oak Glen goalie.” Lindsey was very proud of these girls this season and can’t wait to see what next year holds for them.
A teacher who impacted her throughout her high school years was Sherri Lengthorn and Alisa Hannah. She said,” Mrs. Lengthorn is always there for her students and pushes her students and Mrs. Hannah always gives me the accommodations that her students would need.”

In the next five years, Lindsey sees herself “in her beginning year of teaching at a local elementary school to her first-grade class.” Her advice to undergraduates is, “don’t take any crap from upperclassman. Second, just be yourself, and don’t let anyone change who you are.”
