New Faces of Weir

This year, Weir has had an influx of new highly qualified staff members.
PRO Stevie Banannio has been a police officer for 14 years , and this is her first year working in a high school. A Fun Fact about her is that she is only time she is serious is when she has to be, other than that she is a total goofball. A quote that Stevie goes by is “It is what it is, and everything is always as its meant to be in every moment.’’
Amber Chappell has been a RN for seven and a half years, But this is her first year as a school nurse. A Fun Fact about her is that she loves crafting and creating T-shirts, she even has a craft room in her home. A quote that Amber goes by is “You live and you learn.”
Amy Durkin has been a teacher for 29 years. She teaches, Biology, Earth Science, and ELA 9-12. A Fun Fact about her is the she likes all different kinds of music. A quote she goes by is “Everything happens for a reason. God always has a plan.”
Tracy Elo has been a Paralegal/Secretary for the past 14 years, but this is her first year in the school system. A Fun Fact about her is she is a HUGE fan of 80’s power ballads and 80’s big hair! A quote that Tracy goes by is “It is what it is.”
Steven Kettler has been a teacher for 4 years, but this is his first year at Weir. He teaches Civics and AP Government. A Fun Fact about him is that he used to work in a minor league baseball before i started teaching. A quote he goes by is “Believe you can and you’re halfway
there,’’ from Teddy Roosevelt.
Danielle Porter is new to teaching here at Weir High School. She teaches in the math department in Geometry and Financial Algebra. A Fun Fact about her is she has a soon to be five year old daughter. A quote that she goes by is “Whats meant to be, will be!”
Gina Reitter has been teaching for 16 years. She teaches in Biology and Earth Science. A Fun Fact about her is that she played college basketball and is in the Hall of Fame. A quote she goes by is “Be the change; repetition breeds success; stay unapologetically committed to your goals.”
Troy Whittaker is new to teaching here at Weir High School. He teaches in the math department in applied statistics and algebra 1. A Fun Fact about him is that he likes to play volleyball and golf in his free time. Troy does not go by a specific quote. He said, ‘‘No, I just try to take things one day at a time and see where things take me.”
Kendahl Stanley is new to teaching here at Weir High School. She teaches Social Studies. A Fun Fact about her is that she likes sloths. A quote she
goes by is “Everything happens for a reason.”
